UK: The 180 room hotel, Middle Eight, is set to open in May in the former Kingsway Hall Hotel on Great Queen Street.
London-based design firm, Tonik Associates, and architects Ray Hole, are behind the hotel’s nature-inspired interiors.
Of the hotel’s food and beverage outlets, Sycamore Vina Cucina is central to Middle Eight’s offerings. The restaurant will serve an all-day menu of Italian and Californian sharing dishes.
The Balcony, overlooking Sycamore, will serve an all-day, globally inspired menu.
General manager, Christian Graf, was appointed by Shiva founder Rishi Sachdev to lead the team.
Sachdev said: “At Middle Eight we will choose to do things not because they are easy, nor because it’s what everybody does. We will choose to do them because they represent our collective vision of what’s right. We will inspire guests, teams, communities and partners to believe in and share our world view. We will challenge our competitors by disrupting the status quo and by offering our guests a genuinely new option: a conscious choice to experience luxury with purpose.”
Already a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Middle Eight will take reservations from February 2020.
