Caesars Entertainment pulls out of Gansevoort Las Vegas project

US: The Gansevoort Las Vegas hotel and casino project has been shelved by Caesars Entertainment.

The project, currently under construction, is to be a refurbishment of the Strip’s Bill’s Gambling Hall, with 188 rooms a rooftop nightclub and pool area created by Victor Drai, and a restaurant from Food Network’s Giada De Laurentiis.

According to a report from gossip site VegasChatter, Caesars wants to open a new casino in Massachusetts, but the state had serious reservations about one of the investors in the Gansevoort project, which was subsequently shelved in an effort to appease Massachusetts.

It is reported the project is likely to go ahead with a new name.
