Wyndham adds 23rd brand to portfolio

EU: Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has acquired the Vienna House brand from Berlin-based HR Group for €44 million.

The deal will add 40 hotels and more than 6,000 rooms to Wyndham’s global portfolio. 28 hotels are located in Germany.

HR Group is already a franchise partner of Wyndham and will continue to own, lease and operate the existing Vienna House hotels under long-term franchise agreements. As part of the transaction, the brand will become known as Vienna House by Wyndham.

Vienna House has four products within its portfolio: Vienna House (upscale, full-service hotels), Vienna House Easy (midscale hotels with coworking lobbies), Vienna House R.evo (short and long-stay hotels), and Vienna Townhouse (boutique guesthouses and B&Bs).
