UK: The five-AA-star property located in Chelsea has appointed Ian Richardson as its new general manager, succeeding Soloman Khaddour.

Richardson joins the 56-bedroom hotel from Jumeirah Carlton Tower where he held the role of general manager.

Other positions at Jumeirah include those at Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel, Grosvenor House Suites by Jumeirah, as well as opening the group’s flagship Asia property, Jumeirah Hotel Nanjing.

Richardson said: “I am delighted to be joining the iconic family. I look forward to working with the team to bring this wonderful property out of its enforced Covid-19 hibernation, and to further enhance its excellent reputation in the London market.”

Andrew Stembridge, executive director of Iconic Luxury Hotels, added: “We are proud to welcome Ian Richardson to the Iconic Luxury Hotels team, overseeing the future growth and success of our special London neighbourhood hotel. Last November saw 11 Cadogan Gardens join the Relain & Châteaux family as the association’s only London property, and we are excited for Ian to further propel the property as it enters the new era post-pandemic.”

11 Cadogan Gardens is spread across four Victorian townhouses just off Sloane Square.

The hotel is a member of Iconic Luxury Hotels, which comprises Clivedon House in Berkshire, Chewton Glen in the New Forest, and the Lygon Arms in the Cotswolds. In October, the group will debut The Mayfair Townhouse in London.
