Campbell Gray Hotels welcomes two additions to its management team

UK: Hotel operator, Campbell Gray Hotels, has made two key appointments – Georges Ojeil, area manager for Beirut and Amman, and operations director Simon Venison.

Within his new role, Georges Ojeil will co-ordinate the pre-opening of the Campbell Gray hotel in Amman, as well as oversee Campbell Gray Living (a mixed-use development, also in Amman) and Le Gray Beirut.

He first joined Campbell Gray Hotels in 2015 as general manager for Le Gray Beirut, and co-ordinated the complex renovation and opening of additional facilities at the hotel in 2017.

Operations director, Simon Venison, joins the group following work as a consultant in the Middle East and Asia, assisting various owners with the performance of existing hotels as well as the planning and construction of new properties.

His previous management experience includes that gained at St. James Club and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel in London, Grosvenor House Apartments for Jumeirah in London, and Jumeirah Beach Club Resort and Spa in Dubai.

At the Abu Dhabi Tourism Development Company, Venison also held the responsibility to introduce destination hotels and resorts in the area such as The Fairmont, Shangri-La, Park Rotana, and the Monte Carlo Beach Club.

Managing director of Campbell Gray Hotels, Alan O’Dea, said: “These new appointments herald another important milestone for the group as we embark on further development. We are very excited to have both Georges and Simon in senior leadership roles and wish them well as they bring their extraordinary talents and experience to our wider teams.”

The company’s portfolio currently includes the newly-opened Alex on Lake Zurich, The Machrie Hotel & Golf Links in Scotland, and The Merchant House in Bahrain.
