UK: Langham Hospitality group has announced that Doris Greif will be the new managing director of their flagship property The Langham.
Greif was chosen due to the previous MD, Bob Van Den Oord, gaining a new role as Langham’s COO.
The promotion comes with the additional title of regional VP of operations, Europe and Middle East. The new position will see Greif leading the flagship hotel’s team, supporting the group’s growth into Europe and the Middle East regions, and ensuring that acquisitions and development remain on track.
Van Den Oord said: “We are thrilled that Doris is joining the company to lead our flagship hotel in London and to continue its success. She has a formidable reputation in achieving service excellence, innovation and development and I am confident that she will take the hotel and The Langham brand to new heights.”
Greif has over 29 years of leadership experience in hospitality, most recently serving as SVP of operations in Dubai. Her largest projects up to now include the rebranding of the Jumeirah Beach Club Resort, and launching the Jumeirah at Etihad Towers which would win the World Travel Awards ‘World’s Leading New Hotel.’
