Garden of the Gods Resort adds Grant Jones as wellness VP

US: Garden of the Gods Resort and Spa has announced Grant Jones as its new VP of wellness.

This is a newly created executive position specifically for Jones.

Prior to this, he served as senior philanthropy officer for Children’s Hospital of Colorado, where he raised over $423m, and as Director of Development for the US Olympic and Paralympic Fencing teams. This is in addition to his experience as a clinical researcher at Columbia University Medical Center.

In this new role, jones will oversee Strata Integrated Wellness Spa, directing its clinical practice, luxury spa and fitness enterprise. He will further attempt to integrate that holistically into the resort’s guest experience.

The town of Colorado Springs has a deep history with wellness dating back to the 1880s, notorious for its mountain air, alpine climate and vibrant sunshine. Jones seeks to take that history and infuse it into the Garden of the Gods’ facilities.

Jones said of his appointment: “Our future is full of exciting possibilities to inspire and enrich the lives and well-being of locals, guests and members alike. I look forward to building upon Strata’s impact – layer upon layer – and proudly promoting our property’s story about the power of place, passion, purpose and people.”

Garden of the Gods Resort and Spa boasts a legendary history, with past visitors like Walt Disney, Gene Autry and John Wayne. In addition to spa facilities, the resort features  luxurious rooms, various activities including golf and tennis, as well as a wide array of dining experience.

Colorado is a popular place for investment, with renovations of a Denver hotel, and a new hotel and hostel breaking ground as well.
