Scott Rankin

UK: Scott Rankin has been appointed general manager at Hotel Indigo Chester, joining from Holiday Inn Portsmouth.

Rankin brings 22 years of experience to the role having worked with various brands under IHG and Marriott. At Hotel Indigo Chester, Rankin will also oversee The Forge Restaurant which is the latest venue by British restaurateur and chef Mike Robinson.

Speaking about his appointment, Rankin said: “It is extremely exciting to be a part of Hotel Indigo Chester. I’ve worked with several IHG hotels throughout my career, so I know what great appeal Hotel Indigos have to guests. The unique nature of each hotel is a great selling point for both leisure and corporate guests. Chester is an amazing city so the opportunity to combine a great hotel in a great city was a fabulous job opportunity to accept.”

Simon Hall, managing director at Castlebridge Hospitality which own and manage the hotel, said “We’re delighted to appoint Scott as our new general manager. Scott brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in the hospitality industry, and I know will be a fantastic asset to the team.”

Hotel Indigo Chester opened in June 2019 with 75 guest rooms.

Castlebridge Hospitality is a privately-owned hotel group, formed following the merger of St James’ Hotel Group and Castlebridge Hotels in 2018.

Hotels under management within the Castlebridge portfolio include Hotel Indigo Bath, Hotel Indigo Exeter, Hotel Indigo Stratford-upon-Avon, and more.
