Kimpton Pittman Hotel appoints general manager

US: Jack Murray has been announced as the general manager of the forthcoming property, which is located in Dallas, Texas’ Deep Ellum and set to open in late summer 2020.

Murray brings over three decades of hospitality experience to his new role, having begun his career with the Hyatt Hotels Corporation. He has since worked with numerous establishments in Dallas including the Fairmont Hotel, Hotel ZaZa, The Adolphus, InterContinental and Wolfgang Puck Catering.

“I grew up going to Deep Ellum to watch various shows and see different artists, so the Kimpton Pittman Hotel feels like a natural passion project for me,” said Murray. “I’m excited for the opportunity to work alongside so many talented hospitality professionals to create a space that celebrates the neighbourhood and brings people together.”

Regional director of operations for Kimpton, Joe Pagone, added: “We’re honoured to welcome Jack as general manager with his expertise and knowledge of the Dallas market. His experience operating lifestyle and luxury hotels combined with his roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic makes him the perfect person for the role.”

Kimpton Pittman Hotel offers 165 guest rooms and over 8,000 square feet of meetings and events space, as well as an American tavern Elm + Good and a ground level outdoor bar and pool deck.

It’s the first hotel in the Deep Ellum neighbourhood, and features a collection of artwork, curated vinyl collections and live music programming.
