UK: Vincent McGrath has been appointed hotel manager of The Dorchester in London, arriving alongside Luca Virgilio the new general manager.
McGrath will oversee the hotel’s extensive renovation which is due to start next month. He recently returns to the UK following tenure as area general manager for Caesars Palace at Bluewaters Dubai since 2016.
Prior to his time in Dubai, McGrath spent eight years as director of operations for The Savoy. He also held several roles with Four Seasons across the group’s London and Hampshire properties.
Between 1996 and 2000, McGrath worked at The Dorchester as deputy director of food and beverage.
Speaking about his appointment, McGrath said: “It’s hugely exciting for me to be returning to London and to The Dorchester, which I have held in such high regard since first working here all those years ago. I am looking forward to working with the talented team to offer our guests the very best of everything that matters to them.”
General manager Virgilio said: “It is a great pleasure to welcome Vincent back to The Dorchester and to be beginning our journey here in London together. Vincent is an exceptionally talented operations professional and will play an integral part in running this legendary hotel as it enters a new era.”
The Dorchester Collection has recently announced the appointment of Mirko Cattini as general manager of Rome Hotel Eden, who will be succeeding former GM Virgilio.
