Radisson Hotel Group appoints CEO Americas

US: Jim Alderman has been named as the group’s CEO of the Americas, responsible for more than 680 hotels across the country.

With nearly 35 years of hospitality experience, Alderman will be based in the company’s US headquarters in Minnetonka, Minnesota.

Alderman most recently served as EVP/chief development officer at Extended Stay America, where he started the company’s franchising group. Here, he oversaw new construction and franchise sales for its next-generation product, asset management of its existing real estate portfolio, acquisitions and dispositions, and future redevelopment.

Federico J. González, chairman of Radisson Hotel Group’s global steering committee and president of Radisson Hospitality AB, said: “Jim is a hospitality executive whose determination and ability to accomplish what he sets out to do is widely known throughout the industry.”

“As the COVID-19 pandemic evolves daily, Jim will immediately begin to provide guidance and support for addressing the needs of the business in the Americas while continuing to deploy appropriate resources to help maintain a healthy environment for our customers and team members,” González added.
