UK: The London architecture and design studio Perkins and Will has welcomed Neil Andrew as its director of hospitality.
Andrew joins the firm with more than 15 years of experience in interior design for lifestyle and hospitality projects.
He has previous experience leading business growth and managing project delivery for international hotel brands such as Marriott, Hilton and IHG.
Prior to this, Andrew spent nine years in Dubai leading the design and delivery of interiors for Fairmont and Millennium Hotels.
He said: “I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to drive forward a new era of hospitality design at Perkins and Will. In the next few years, I foresee a dramatic shift in consumers’ wants in the luxury market, with the next generation growing in favour of branded boutique design over some more traditional trends. I am excited to explore new design concepts within upcoming projects and build upon the practice’s impressive portfolio.”
Steven Charlton, principal managing director at Perkins and Will’s London Studio, added: “We are always looking to grow and improve our offering and Neil’s appointment is another great step for the practice. With his wealth of experience in hospitality and expertise in reusing materials in design we look forward to seeing him lead the next chapter of our work in the sector.”
Linzi Cassels, principal design director at the London studio, said: “Neil will make a great addition to our expanding London team, bringing with him expertise in line with our approach and ethos. With his driven approach towards thoughtful design, Neil will further strengthen our impressive track record in sustainable design practice.”
