UK: Luxury lakeside property Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa, located in Leicestershire, has appointed Adrian Pickard as its general manager.
Pickard joins the four-star hotel from The Headland Hotel in Newquay, Cornwall, where he also served as general manager.
His appointment follows a period of transformation at Rutland Hall. During lockdown, the hotel underwent a property-wide refurbishment, including all 66 hotel rooms, a redesign of the Main Hall, the launch of Blossoms restaurant and bar, and the development of a 500-seater indoor venue space, the Pavilion.
Pickard said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Rutland Hall Hotel and look forward to working with the amazing team here to ensure that we position the hotel as one of the leading destination resorts within the UK. The upcoming projects, including the launch of the new Pavilion, one of the largest hotel event spaces in the region, and the development plans for a new spa and wellness facility, present exciting opportunities for growth and innovation.”
Set within 70 acres of parkland on the shores of Rutland Water, Rutland Hall Hotel offers a range of self-catering lodges or suites in addition to guest rooms, as well as an indoor swimming pool, a gym, and facilities including treatment rooms, crazy golf, a bowls green and more.
