Starhotels Collezione London Complex appoints general manager

UK: Thomas James Orchard will oversee three London-based properties: The Franklin, The Gore and The Pelham.

Orchard has over 30 years of hospitality experience, most recently serving as managing director and general manager at Carlisle Bay in Antigua.

Other positions include regional general manager of COMO Metropolitan London and COMO Metropolitan London Apartments.

Commenting on his role, Orchard said: “I am delighted to be joining Starhotels, the leading family owned Italian Hotel Company, and look forward to assisting the development of the team and the business at the three London properties”.

The Franklin, located in Knightsbridge, comprises 35 rooms, The Franklin Restaurant by Alfredo Russo, and The Franklin Bar.

The Gore, located in Queen’s Gate, features 50 rooms and suites, and is famous for being the location of the launch of The Rolling Stones’ 1968 album, Beggar’s Banquet.

The Pelham, located in South Kensington, includes 52 rooms and suites, a signature restaurant La Trattoria by Alfred Russo, as well as several leisure facilities.
