UK: Adam Hersey has joined The Falcon, Castle Ashby, a 21-bed boutique wellness retreat owned by Lord and Lady Northampton.

The hotel, restaurant and retreat opened in September 2020 in Northamptonshire on the Castle Ashby Estate, which belongs to the 7th Marquees of Northampton.

Hersey has been named as the hotel’s general manager. His previous role was hospitality manager at a law firm in London, and prior to this he held several operational and management positions at St Michaels Manor and Brocket Hall in Herfordshire.

In addition, Hersey is a fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Innholders, Hospitality Action Ambassador, and member of Cohort 5 of Master Innholders Aspiring Leaders Diploma.

Hersey commented: “I am delighted to have joined The Falcon family. The potential the property has combined with the willingness of the team to grow fits completely with my ambitions. From the minute I spoke with Lord and Lady Northampton, I know that The Falcon was the right place for me. We want to make The Falcon a destination hotel not only for our guests to enjoy, but also a progressive and nurturing place to work and develop our people.”

Guests of The Falcon can take part in a series of activities including wild swimming, guided nature walks and horse riding. As part of the hotel’s wellbeing programme there’s also yoga classes, gong baths, meditation and massage.
