Worldwide: The previously announced merger between Cendyn and Pegasus has now completed, enabling hoteliers to control their direct booking channel and enhance brand loyalty.

The merger was first announced in November last year. Information from Cendyn’s customer data platform (Starling) and Pegasus’ CRS will allow hoteliers to better personalise the guest experience and maximise direct bookings.

CEO and president of Cendyn, Tim Sullivan, will continue in his position. Chief innovation officer Gauttam Lulla and chief enterprise office Joanna Genser have recently been appointed to support the newly combined company.

Sullivan said: “The completion of this merger is an exciting moment for Cendyn, and we believe, for the industry. As the hospitality industry recovers from the effects of the pandemic, the combination of Cendyn and Pegasus will help hoteliers achieve their critical digital transformation and automation objectives to keep up with ever-evolving consumer expectations and contain costs.”

Cendyn is a cloud software and services provider for hospitality, covering sales, marketing, and revenue strategy. The company has headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida (US) with offices in Germany, Singapore, Thailand and Japan.

Customers of Cendyn include Jumeirah, The Standard, The Hoxton, Viceroy Hotels & Resorts, Firmdale Hotels, The Set Hotels, and more.

Pegasus focuses on revenue and distribution, offering a platform of reservations, eCommerce, sales and business intelligence solutions. The group serves hotels in 120 countries from eight offices worldwide.
