UK: Dormy House, part of Farncombe estate, has announced its partnership with interiors brand Cox & Cox to redesign its reception.
As the hotel has shifted to 100 per cent mobile check-in, it has sought to change the space into a lounge area for guests.
Dormy House had a significant amount of open space to repurpose, as the check-in process now takes place within one of the hotel’s four lounge areas. It chose to work with Cox & Cox due to the company’s emphasis on timeless aesthetics and comfort.
Andrew Grahame, Farncombe Estate CEO, said: “As we rise to the new challenges posed to the industry in recent months, the team has been busy innovating, creating and improving. Our new check-in and partnership with Cox & Cox is a brilliant example of the highly creative, fun approach we are taking at Dormy House.”
The new area has been separated into three distinct areas, allowing guests to relax while staying socially distanced. Each individual space complements the existing hotel lounges, adding to the hotel’s combination of Cotswolds country chic with Scandinavian sensibilities.
Richard Bell, CEO of Cox & Cox, said: “We were delighted when Dormy House asked us to furnish this innovative new space. We are expanding the trade arm of Cox & Cox significantly, and this flagship project shows exactly what can be achieved when the right brands come together.”
This is Cox & Cox’s first partnership on this scale. The company has been expanding its trade team, in order to expand the scope of its residential, business and hospitality projects.
