UK: The Coniston Hotel Country Estate & Spa has named Jamie Adamson as general manager.
Adamson joined The Coniston in the Yorkshire in 2017 as operations manager. Prior to this, he served as general manager at The Leatherjackets Head Hotel in Barrowdale, Cumbria for seven years.
The appointment coincides with the launch of The Coniston’s redeveloped spa in earlier this year, and follows a record summer season for the property. A refurbishment of the hotel’s highest room categories is to commence in the near future.
Directors of the hotel, Michael Bannister, Nick Banister, Louise Bolton and Colin Blackett, said: “We would like to congratulate Jamie on his promotion to general manager of The Coniston Hotel Country Estate & Spa. Since joining our team over four years ago, Jamie has proved his leadership acumen and shown his passion and commitment to our colleagues and company, inspiring and developing team members. The Coniston Hotel Country Estate & Spa is located in Coniston Cold near Skipton. Owned by the Bannister family since 1969, the 1,400-acre estate offers 71 bedrooms, self-catering cottages, and a restaurant, bar and spa. It also hosts weddings and private events.
