Grayson Hotel names leadership team

David McManus

US: Grayson Hotel, part of Hyatt’s Unbound Collection, has welcomed several key team members ahead of the property’s opening in autumn this year.

David McManus has been named general manager of the new-build hotel, which is owned, developed and managed by Fortuna Realty Group. He joins from Hersha Hospitality Management where he served as general manager of the Hyatt Union Square. 

McManus’ appointment as general manager of Grayson Hotel marks his return to the Fortuna Realty Group. Previously, he opened the group’s Hotel Hugo in 2013. Other companies McManus has worked with include Denihan Hospitality Group and Amsterdam Hospitality Group.

Other notable hires at Grayson Hotel include Jeannnine Graham as director of sales and marketing; Lizzie Fernandez-Fruto as director of revenue management; Jennifer Post as director of rooms; Soleilh St. Paul as director of housekeeping; Roberto Brito as director of engineering; and Wade Grazette, director of life safety and security.

Grayson Hotel is the first New York City property for the Unbound Collection. It features 296 guest rooms, many with views over Bryant Park, the Empire State Building and the Freedom Tower.

Fortuna Realty Group is a real estate investment, development and hotel management company. Properties within the Fortuna Hotel Collection include Hotel Hugo, Hotel Hendricks, Hotel Hayden, Hotel Indigo Wall Street and Garden City Hotel.
