UK: Andrew Cook will take on the role of general manager at the luxury rural estate The Lakes by YOO, joining from Chewton Glen in Hampshire.
At Chewton Glen, Cook served as general manager for the last four years. Overall, his career spans 15 years and has included positions with Belmond, The Mount Nelson Hotel, The Ritz-Carlton, the Royal Abjar Hotel, and more.
Cook’s appointment at The Lakes by YOO comes ahead of the launch of new waterside cabins and apartments surrounding Marley Lake. Designed by YOO Studio, founded by John Hitchcox and Philippe Starck, the latest additions on the 850-acre estate are available for shorter bookings.
Speaking about his appointment, Cook said: “I am delighted to join The Lakes by YOO at an exciting time as we further develop the estate and launch a new collection of cabins and apartments, offering a new level of sustainable luxury. We have a pipeline of exciting projects planned over the coming years and I look forward to welcoming guests and working with the incredible team that we have on-site.”
