Hong Kong: Global hotel company Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) has appointed Sean Seah as SVP – strategy, technology and innovation.
Based at the company’s global headquarters in Hong Kong, Seah will report directly to CEO Bob van den Oord and will also form part of the company’s executive committee.
Seah will be responsible for identifying emerging market trends and to steer the development and implementation of new technologies to capitalise on those trends. He will focus on enhancing the guest experience and streamlining operational efficiencies.
Having previously worked for LHG in 2009 as vice president – e-business, loyalty, and partner marketing, Seah has also held additional senior leadership roles with Microsoft, HSBC, Air New Zealand and Travelocity.
Van den Oord said: “We are excited to welcome Sean Seah back to Langham Hospitality Group as our SVP for strategy, technology and innovation. His return marks a pivotal moment for the company as it prioritises strategic growth, which will in large part be driven by cutting edge digital solutions, data driven processes and operational efficiencies.”
LHG has more than 40 hotels and residences in operation or development with a global footprint spanning Asia, Europe North America and the Middle East. Its four brands include The Langham Hotels and Resorts, Cordis Hotels, Eaton Workshop and Ying’nFlo.
