UK: Ian Telford has been named general manager of The Laslett in Notting Hill, part of the Living Rooms Apartments Collection.
Telford previously held the position of general manager at Blakes Hotel where he spent two and a half years, followed by a general manager role at the Asbury Ocean Club in New Jersey.
He has experience working at Sanderson and St Martins Lane Hotel, and was part of the opening team of Andre Balazs’ Chiltern Firehouse in London.
Speaking about his appointment, Telford said: “I am very excited to be joining The Laslett and Living Rooms Apartments team to bring new ideas and concepts to Notting Hill. Weekly and seasonal events and pop-ups designed to entertain and connect guests are always on our radar, and we’ll be bringing back some favourite concepts like our well-known Turntable Tuesdays and Oyster evenings.
“Having a personal and professional passion for food and drink, I am also working on launching new offerings at The Laslett, including a brand new brunch menu – a first for the property, a new Mediterranean sharing plates concept for lunch and dinner, and also looking to make some changes to our outdoor terrace. Lots of exciting things are in the pipeline and more news will follow in due course. The aim is to further establish The Lastlett as a lifestyle spot for foodies from the local area and all over London.”
The Laslett, which was named after Rhaune Laslett who organised the original Notting Hill Festival, is a 51-bedroom hotel. It forms part of Living Rooms – a collection of six properties in London – headed by Tracy Lowy.
