Germany: Hotel operator Primestar Group has appointed a chief executive officer, a chief operating officer and chief commercial officer.
Oliver Kupka has been named CEO of Primestar Group as well as managing partner of Primestar Holding. He will oversee the group’s hotel portfolio which currently includes properties under construction in Vienna and Hanover.
Since autumn 2022, Dieter Esslinger has been working as the group’s COO as well as managing director of Primestar Hospitality GmbH. He’s been with the group since 2017 and has supported its expansion in the franchise sector.
Ronald Nilsson has taken on the role of chief commercial officer as well as managing director of Primestar Hospitality. He will be responsible for the marketing and positioning of the group’s own brands including June Six, June Stay and WorX. He said: “I am convinced that the Primestar Group is excellently positioned for the future and that I can actively support the growth course we have embarked upon.”
Kupka added: “I am very much looking forward to working with Dieter and Ronald. Besides the individual expertise, the chemistry just feels right in our management team. I am sure that we will achieve the goals we are aiming for – as a team pursuing a common vision across the individual areas of responsibility.”
Primestar Group currently operates 17 hotels in German cities, with the franchise portfolio comprising 3,701 rooms.
With Primestar Operator GmbH, the group launched its own brand June Six in the city boutique hotel segment last year. A long-stay concept June Stay, and workspace network WorX, also form part of the portfolio. The Primestar team will grow these brands via the acquisition of existing hotels, leasers or operators.
