US: The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota has named Rajesh Khubchandani as the resort’s general manager.
Khubchandani has over 28 years experience in the hotel industry, most recently serving as vice president of luxury brand operations at Marriott.
Prior to this he held several leadership positions at other Ritz-Carlton properties including general manager at the brand’s hotel in Tysons Corner, general manager of the Boston hotel, and hotel manager at The Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles.
Speaking about his appointment, Khubchandani said: “The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota has provided its guests and members with an unparalleled luxury resort experience for two decades, and I am delighted to join this outstanding team to continue the legacy of excellence. Sarasota is a charming urban destination and elegant coastal retreat that continues to attract visitors from around the world – and I consider myself incredibly lucky to lead a talented team in such a stunning destination during its centennial year.”
The Ritz-Carlton Sarastoa is located on Florida’s central Gulf coast overlooking Sarasota Bay. The resort is home to 266 bedrooms, 218 residences, a golf course, a spa, and beach club.
Khubchandani’s appointment comes as the property celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
A wholly-owned subsidiary of Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton brand currently operates more than 100 hotels in 32 countries.
