Westin London City appoints general manager

Alex Dallocchio

UK: Alex Dallocchio has been named as the general manager for The Westin London City, marking the debut of the Westin Hotels & Resorts in the United Kingdom.

Dallocchio joins the 222-key hotel, which is due to open in September, with over 20 years of experience in European and North American markets. Previously, he managed the Beverly Hills Marriott, Embassy Suite Las Vegas and The Declan Suites in San Diego.

Commenting on the appointment, Dallocchio said: “I’m thrilled to debut the Westin Hotels &s Resorts brand in London at a time when wellness has never been so important to travellers, and to oversee the opening of this marquee hotel on the iconic River Thames. I’m looking forward to bringing my insight from the US market to London and setting a new standard for wellbeing in the capital.”

The Westin London City is a key part of the development of the former Queensbridge House site, located on the riverfront between Embankment and the Tower of London.

It will feature a 370 square-metre Heavenly Spa by Westin, comprising an indoor swimming pool, alongside two restaurants and a wine bar.

Westin Hotels & Resorts has six brand pillars of wellness: sleep well, eat well, move well, feel well, work well, and play well. The portfolio stretches across 40 countries with more than 200 hotels. The brand is part of Marriott International.
