We’ll explore green building accreditations, the challenges of greenwashing, and what distinguishes a sustainable hotel to guests, staff, the community and stakeholders.

• An overview of the key acronyms – what they mean and why are they important eg. CSRD, ESRS, SDGs, ISO
• How to evaluate different certifications based and determine if pursuing certification is right for your hotel
• Strategies to avoid greenwashing and best practices for communicating sustainability efforts to guests and stakeholders
• How to integrate sustainability into hotel culture, such as empowering staff and motivating guest participation through incentives
