UAE: 78-key Dubai property to be badged as Donatello Hotel Apartments and serve alcohol
Coral Boutique Hotel Apartments on Sheikh Zayed Road in the Al Barsha area of Dubai will be reflagged as Donatello Hotel Apartments by the end of this month.
The property is currently managed by Hospitality Management Holdings (HMH) – its management contract is to end after the owner said they wanted to serve alcohol at the dry property.
An HMH representative said: “The hotel owners wish to have alcohol. However, as HMH – and all its brands including Coral Hotels & Resorts – is an alcohol-free chain it could not continue to operate Coral Boutique Hotel Apartments Al Barsha. We wish Donatello Hotel Apartments the very best.”
The rebranding will include upgrades to the six-storey property, and an increase in the number of rooms to 130, the addition of two restaurants and three meeting rooms.
General manager Salim Touma said: “The owning company decided to manage the property independently, therefore Donatello Hotel Apartments will be their first property in the UAE.”
The unnamed owner also plans to introduce more Donatello-branded properties.
