Jennifer McCabe

UK: Jennifer McCabe has been appointed general manager of art’otel London Battersea Power Station, which is set to open this autumn.

McCabe brings 15 years of experience in hotel management to the role, having worked with brands including Le Monde, Firmdale, and most recently the Holmes Hotel in London.

Located within Battersea Roof Gardens in a new building designed by Foster + Partners, art’otel forms part of a mixed-use scheme comprising homes, offices and a new pedestrianised high street.

The 164-bedroom hotel will open with a skyline restaurant and bar, rooftop swimming pool, a gym and spa, events facilities, a cafe and art gallery. Construction is almost complete with the guest rooms, bar and restaurant currently being fitted out.

Speaking about her appointment, McCabe said: “art’otel is one of Europe’s most unique and inspiring hotel brands, and I can’t wait to bring its creative spirit to London’s iconic Battersea Power Station. As a location that has inspired creativity for decades, art’otel’s new vibrant energy will play a key part in the next chapter for Battersea. We can’t wait to welcome our first guests.”

Art’otel London Battersea Power Station will be the first UK art’otel property, followed by a site in Hoxton in 2024. The brand, owned by PPHE Hotel Group, is also part of Radisson Hotel Group as a result of PPHE’s perpetual license with Radisson.
