UK: The Franklin London – Starhotels Collezione has appointed Mishaal Eid as its hotel manager.
In his new role, Eid will be responsible for managing the daily operations of The Franklin, which is a 35-room boutique hotel located in Knightsbridge with a view overlooking Egerton Gardens.
The Franklin, which is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, is one of three properties in London that is owned and operated by Starhotels Collezione. The company also operates The Pelham London in South Kensington and The Gore London on Queen’s Gate.
Eid said: “I am delighted to be joining The Franklin London in my first role as hotel manager. I am passionate about delivering the very finest guest experience and I look forward to building on the great successes that Starhotels and The Franklin have achieved.”
Prior to this appointment, Eid was employed by the Flemings Mayfair Hotel, another Small Luxury Hotels of the World property, where he occupied the roles of front of house manager from 2017 to 2019 and rooms division manager from 2019, until being hired by The Franklin.
Before his role at the Flemings, Eid moved to London in 2015 to work for Park Plaza Hotels. Prior to that experience, he worked with the pre-opening team of the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, where he led a team of 63 associates.
Eid, who is bilingual in English and Arabic, has extensive experience in training staff members and mentoring those beginning their hospitality careers. Additionally, he sits on the mentoring committee for AICR International.
