Raithwaite Sandsend appoints new F+B manager

UK: Yorkshire coastal property Raithwaite Sandsend has announced Giuseppe Longobardi’s appointment to the position of food and beverage manager.

Longobardi brings with him over 20 years of experience to the team, including tenures at Restaurant 23, Hilton Deansgate, and most notably at Michelin starred The Cross Kenliworth, part of Leamington Spa.

His career started in his home country of Italy, working for wine bars in Rome and Bassano del Grappa. He has achieved a degree in viticulture and oenology and has been a member of the Association de la Somellerie Internationale for ten years.

Alejandro Torrecilla, general manager at Raithwaite Sandsend, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to announce Giuseppe Longobardi as Food & Beverage Manager at Raithwaite Sandsend. His experience, combined with his passion for the industry, make him a fantastic addition. His arrival gives us an opportunity to really raise the bar of our food and beverage offering – we are excited for this next chapter.”

His role will focus on the hotel’s main restaurant The Brasserie, which offers a high quality, seasonal menu. He will also be in charge of the Poacher’s Bar, where guests can enjoy cocktails and small bites beside a roaring fire.

Raithwaite Sandsend underwent a major brand renovation this summer, changing its name and embarking on a renovation period. This also saw staff changes, including the addition of new head chef Andy Hill.
